Hi there! I’m Evelyn Kay, the one guiding you home every afternoon with Kicks Navigator Traffic. You can also hear me as the host & producer of Spectrum, a public affairs program on Kicks heard on Sunday mornings.

I’m originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan but have been in South for most of my life. I have a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from the University of South Carolina. This year I celebrate my 8th year working on-air! I guess radio was an obvious career choice, even at a very early age. I used to force my brother to play the game ‘radio’ with me (which I made up). Also, as a kid, my teachers would regularly send notes home to my parents telling them that I talked too much. Turns out they actually have jobs for people like me. Who knew? Combine that will my love for ALL genres of music, and I guess I ended up in the right place!

In September 2004, I married my husband and best friend, Eric (who I’ve known second grade). In June 2009, we were blessed with the greatest gift ever – the birth of our son Javier Luis! (We call him ‘Javi’ for short). When I’m not behind the microphone, I love to spend every moment with Javi, watching him grow, learn, and laugh! It’s a thrill and a privilege to be a part of the BEST radio station in Atlanta! I am blessed to have such wonderful support from my loving husband and both of our fantastic families. And of course, YOU, our incredible listeners who I adore!
